Our mission is to increase breast cancer awareness through the world of art. Every woman is still beautiful, whether she has one, two, or no breasts. Many painted torsos will be auctioned off and all proceeds from the sale and any donations will be submitted to the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, NH, and the Forest Moon Foundation.
The hospital funds will be designated to be used for patients in need of financial assistance with oncology related expenses.
The Forest Moon Foundation provides free programs to improve the quality of life of cancer survivors and their families by using interactive programs and therapeutic activities.
A huge thank you goes to all the fabulous volunteers who willingly and graciously offered to have their treasured chest cast in plaster. Many are breast cancer survivors and all have been touched by a friend or relative with breast cancer. Survivors are also people coping with the stress of a loved one actually going through the cancer journey.
This fundraiser would not be possible without the generosity and creativity of the many artists in the Lakes Region community, as well as Dick Shetler, our photographer.
